Chicken noodle and rice soup

1med onion
1/4 cup melted butter
2c carrots
3quarts chicken stock
1tsp garlic
1tsp Italian seasoning
4 cup cooked chicken
Simmer 10 min
1quart milk
1/2 lb pasta
1/2 lb cooked rice
Add roux of 1/2 cup melted butter and 1/2 flour, stir until thick

Reheat to serve
